Roland is pleased to announce the TD-9K/TD-9KX V-Drums. With an advanced next-generation sound engine at its core, the mid-range V-Drums family now comes loaded with fresh sounds, and offers a deeper level of expression and playability. Together with Roland’s most advanced triggering technology to date, this kit is destined to become a big hit with drummers worldwide.
The kit is available in two configurations. The TD-9K is designed for drummers who want a cost-effective state-of-the-art V-Drums kit, as it offers all the features and advantages of the TD-9KX but with rubber-surface tom pads instead of mesh. The premium TD-9KX comes with mesh-pads all round, an upgraded snare and larger ride cymbal, combining a feature-set unique to the V-Drums range with the best feel of any electronic kit.
The TD-9 module blends hundreds of new sounds with real audio songs and patterns, plus newly-developed practice facilities and quick record/play capabilities. The module is also fully compatible with the VH-11 V-Hi-Hat (optional extra) and supports three-way ride triggering and dual-trigger toms.
With a large, backlit display and easy-to-use oversized controls, the TD-9’s friendly, icon-based interface makes editing sounds and customising kits fast, simple and fun. A scope-mode skill builder is built-in to help make practice enjoyable and measurable while drummers finally have the ability to play along with real-audio backing songs to build their own musical experience base. Better still, .WAV audio files can now be imported via USB host. “Quick Record” and “Quick Play” features allow drummers to record and playback solo drum parts immediately, or drum parts to be performed with the backing songs.
Finally, the new MDS-9 drum rack offers a sturdy four-leg design with new, enhanced ball-joint mount for snare and cymbals, and angle-adjustable hi-hat arms, for fast and flexible component placement.
