The Jane Matrix Cup Group 0+ Car Seat is a true all-rounder. It can be used like a carry cot (your baby lies flat) or as a rear facing car seat. The Jane Matrix Cup Group 0+ Car Seat can also be fitted to the Jane Slalom Pro, Carrerra Pro, Nomad Pro, Powertwin Pro and Twin Two pushchairs to create a travel system where your baby is able to face you and have the additional comfort of 4 recline positions.
There is growing research to support the importance of lying flat in the crucial first few months of a baby's life, especially if you plan on making car journeys that are regularly longer than 1 hour in duration. Babies need the support of a flat surface, especially when sleeping, to promote the correct development of their delicate back and respiration system. Too much time spent in a "wedge" shaped car seat is proven to be harmful to this development.
