Futons Explained:
Futons originate from the Far East and consist of the futon (mattress) and the base frame, traditionally wooden but now offered in various metal designs. The folded futon (mattress) sits on the base frame, then when required simply unfurls flat upon the converted base frame.
Mattresses & Fabrics:
Ikos offer two types of mattresses with their Futons, the Premier Life & the Studio Life. Depending which fabric you select determines which mattress is supplied.
The Premier Life Mattress is supplied with either the Micro-Suede or 100% Leather fabrics. This mattress is unique in that it is internally hand tufted and contains an internally quilted pillow top for added comfort. The Premier Life also contains Pure Soft Polyester and high resilient reflex foam. The mattress depth is 28cm
The Studio Life Mattress is supplied with either the Classic Cotton Drill and Deluxe Ribbed Cotton fabrics. This mattress is hand tufted with matching buttons, and contains layers Pure Soft Polyester and Air-bonded pads. This mattress depth is 17cm
